A radiologist specialises in using ultrasound technology to create images of the internal structures of the body, providing key support in diagnosing and guiding treatment plans. With their expertise and precision, they provide a safe and non-invasive approach to understanding and addressing health problems.

Laboratory tests for men and women

10

CRP (C-Reactive Protein)

This test, also known as an acute phase protein or C-reactive protein test, is performed to identify inflammatory conditions in the body.

Progesterone

Progesterone is a female sex hormone largely responsible for embryo implantation in the uterine lining and maintaining pregnancy. According to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, progesterone deficiency is one of the most common causes of fertility problems.

FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone)

In women, FSH and LH stimulate the growth and maturation of ovarian follicles and the synthesis of female sex hormones - estrogens. Elevated levels of these hormones in the middle of the menstrual cycle trigger ovulation (release of the ovarian follicle), which divides the cycle into two phases – follicular (before ovulation) and luteal (following ovulation), each lasting about 14 days.

Risk Assessment for Epithelial Ovarian Cancer - ROMA

A screening test aimed at estimating the risk of epithelial ovarian cancer.

Estrogen

Estrogens are a group of steroid hormones responsible for the proper functioning of the reproductive organs and the development of secondary sexual characteristics in women (vulva, clitoris, vagina, uterus, and fallopian tubes). They include estrone, estradiol, and estriol, which are present in serum and urine.

Prolactin

Prolactin is a polypeptide hormone secreted by the pituitary gland. Its main role is to stimulate the mammary glands to produce milk during lactation, but it also influences ovarian function and regulates the immune system.

TSH (Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone)

This test is performed to determine the thyroid's proper functioning. It detects thyroid disorders such as hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism.

FT3 (Free Triiodothyronine)

This test is used in the diagnosis and monitoring of thyroid diseases.

FT4 (Free Thyroxine)

This test is used in the diagnosis and monitoring of thyroid diseases.

BRCA1, BRCA2 Marker

One way to prevent breast and ovarian cancer is to undergo tests to identify or rule out mutations in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes. Genetic testing indicates whether mutations are present in these genes, which are responsible for an increased risk of disease. Currently, this is one of the best methods for preventing ovarian cancer.

Diagnostics for men and women

4

Liquid-Based Cytology (LBC) + HPV

A screening test used in the diagnosis of cervical cancer.

Colposcopy (optional)

Colposcopy is one of the methods used for imaging and diagnosing changes within the cervix, vagina, and vulva. The primary goal of the examination is to detect intraepithelial neoplasia or cancer of the lower genital tract. During colposcopy, potentially dangerous conditions of the lower genital organs can also be identified.

Gynecological Ultrasound (USG)

Allows for the assessment of the uterus, thickness of the endometrium (inner lining of the uterus), ovaries, quantity and distribution of ovarian follicles, and Douglas' pouch.

Breast Ultrasound (USG)

This examination is used in the early diagnosis and prevention of breast tumors. In addition to the breasts, the doctor also examines changes in the lymph nodes during the examination.
